1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using ScribMind ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

ScribMind is a browser extension that provides real-time audio transcription, AI-powered meeting analysis, and intelligent Q&A capabilities. The Extension captures browser audio locally and processes it using third-party AI services that you configure.

3. User Accounts and Trials

  • You may register for a 7-day free trial using a valid email address
  • Each email address is entitled to one free trial only
  • Disposable or temporary email addresses are not permitted
  • You must provide accurate information during registration

4. Pro License

  • A Pro license unlocks unlimited features and meeting history
  • Licenses are managed through LemonSqueezy and subject to their terms
  • Licenses are per-user and may be activated on one device at a time
  • Refund requests are handled according to our refund policy

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Extension to record conversations without appropriate consent from all parties, as required by applicable law
  • Attempt to circumvent trial limitations or license restrictions
  • Use disposable emails, VPNs, or other methods to obtain multiple free trials
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Extension
  • Use the Extension for any illegal purpose
  • Redistribute the Extension or any part of it

6. Recording Consent

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of ScribMind complies with all applicable laws regarding audio recording and consent. Many jurisdictions require consent from all parties being recorded. ScribMind provides the technical capability to capture audio; the legal responsibility for its use rests entirely with you.

7. Third-Party Services

ScribMind integrates with third-party AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic) for transcription and analysis. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service. You are responsible for:

  • Providing your own API keys for these services
  • Any costs incurred from using these services
  • Complying with their usage policies

8. Data and Privacy

Your data is stored locally in your browser. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we handle data.

9. Intellectual Property

ScribMind and all associated code, design, and content are the intellectual property of ScribMind. The Extension is licensed, not sold. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Extension in accordance with these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

ScribMind is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • The accuracy of transcriptions or AI-generated content
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Compatibility with all websites or audio sources
  • The availability of third-party AI services

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScribMind and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Extension, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Extension at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the Extension is revoked. Your locally stored data remains on your device.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Hamburg, Germany.
